It was just a couple months ago that we were singing the praises of the brand new BMW 2 Series on our blog. Now our favorite German automaker seeks to top itself with the recent announcement that a convertible variant of the coupe will be officially unveiled at the Paris Motor Show next month. Accompanying this announcement is a new video clip, not only shows us the new car, but also gives us a few exciting tidbits of information about it.
The convertible is equipped with the same turbocharged 2.0-liter four cylinder engine as the coupe variant, which churns out 240 horsepower and 255 pound-feet of torque. This high level of power allows for the vehicle to travel from zero-to-sixty in a mere 5.7 seconds!
The 2 Series convertible is slated to join the new BMW in our Charlotte, NC dealership in early 2015 and has been priced to start at $38,850. For more details when the model makes it official premiere, stay tuned to the Hendrick BMW blog.
