Each year, the people here at Hendrick BMW anxiously await what's in store from our favorite German automaker, as it seems that the lineup of new BMW vehicles just gets better and better. And if the early sales figures from 2013 are any indication, many of you drivers out there in the Charlotte area are enjoying everything BMW has to offer right now as well.
For Q1, the automaker put up remarkable numbers, in spite of the fact that other luxury automakers have experience waning sales figures. In fact, the first quarter of 2013 was the second-highest ever for the German brand.
The BMW X1 has seen a lot of success, moving 53,906 units, and the BMW 3 Series has been impressive as well, selling a whopping 109,309 models.
Chairman of the Board of Management for BMW, Norbert Reitofer says, "Despite the current weakness of car markets in Europe, the BMW Group has made a good start to the new financial year 2013. At 9.9%, the operating margin in the Automotive segment for the three-month period was at the top end of the return corridor we aspire to achieve on a sustainable basis."1
