In fact, this past November, sales of new BMW models reaching 31,752, reflecting a year-over-year gain of 1.7 percent. This brings the Bavarian automaker's year-to-date sales up to 271,891, which already exceeds the previous year's total of 244,061 units by 11.4 percent. This put BMW right on track to achieving its best year ever!
"Holiday shopping added fuel to our sales giving us the best November ever for BMW and the best year-to-date numbers ever for BMW, ... for Pre-Owned, and for the BMW Group in the U.S." explains Ludwig Willisch, President and CEO, BMW of North America. "With availability improving on some of our most popular new models, the X5 and 4 Series in particular, we are looking forward to a record finish for the year."1
Also contributing to the brand's November sales success was the 3 Series and 4 Series with sales totaling 13,148 units. The X1 also posted a respectable gain of 13.2 percent thanks to the sales of 2,364 models.
Also attaining gains were pre-owned BMW models with a total of 15,838 units, reflecting an increase of 25.1 percent over November of 2012.
