Certainly not IMF agent Ethan Hunt, who is portrayed again by Tom Cruise, in the latest Mission: Impossible movie. More specifically, BMW recently teamed with the makers of the latest spy thriller to showcase some BMW tech, and we're here to give you the inside scoop.
To be exact, four new BMW models are featured in Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol. They are the 650i Coupe, BMW 650i Convertible, BMW X5 SAV, and BMW BMW Vision EfficientDynamics concept. If that sounds like quite a list, it's because it is. These vehicles range from industry favorites to vehicles of tomorrow, and each one adds its own special signature to the film.
First, there's the BMW 650i Coupe and 650i Convertible. These two models are fitted with enough tech to impressive even the most seasoned agents. More specifically, they feature night vision, climate zone ventilation, voice command, BMW cold-weather tires, and 400 horsepower for those really intense chase scenes.
Next up is a vehicle that's more focused on versatility than street-ripping performance, the BMW X5 Sport Activity Vehicle (SAV). The adaptable vehicle boasts many of the same features as the aforementioned models. Of course, it's also worth noting in the realm of performance that it still features 300 horsepower, which is impressive for an SAV.
And finally, we have the BMW EfficientDynamics concept. This vehicle is edgy in every sense of the word, and BMW knows it. The company has even gone as far as to design a production-ready concept based on the enticing vehicle: The BMW i8 plug-in hybrid.
